G Is For April: The Great Gatsby

I admit, I haven't read the book, yet I loved the movie. One day I wish to read the book as well, because it's simply a classic. But for now, let's discuss the movie first. I'm known for my eternal love of the era of cigarette holders, curly hair, sparkly dresses and red lips. The 1920's, of course! How could one not love this particular period? It was full of glamour, parties, gentlemen and awesome cars. What I seem to love so much about this era is also their way of behavior. The gestures, greetings, traditions and compliments. I'd love to experience just one day in the shape of a wealthy girl and taste the life back then. Fantasies like that really make you want to turn back time, you know? But the most magical thing to me that was also included in this movie is their attitude, their perception and gestures, as I mentioned before. Maybe the movie itself was a bit extravagant and an overdo, but all in all it was a good and unique interpretation. The life bac...

The Sky Sets Me Free, But Imprisons Me At The Same Time

My mom often says how rarely I go out. I'm looking at the shiny light blue sky right now, thinking how beautiful it is and how small we actually are, yet this world is the only reality we know. The passing clouds remind me of freedom and travelling, the adrenaline you get from a certain journey. Remind me how bad I want to visit the world. It's sad how until a certain age, we're trapped here, living life how we've never imagined. They put us in school, wanting us to learn each subject's book by heart and then just leave us to ourselves against the world. Why don't they try to teach us about what's surrounding us? About how we cope with real things and not some stupid things that either have already happened or won't be any use to us in the future. Man, sometimes I just wanna run far, far away from here. All the crap that's going on. I don't know if I should call it a ordinary and typical teenage rebellious phase, but what I'm really sure abou...

F Review: The First Time

Before we deepen into the subject, I'd like to say I do realize I only seem to be reviewing perfect and totally cliche teenage movies, but those are what I watch the most. Maybe not quite the thing to be proud of, but I like to review them, because I like to deepen into the story, even if sometimes it wasn't meant to be completely understood or analyzed. I like to rest my head from this reality here and focus on somebody else's. Try to see the world through their eyes, because I always seem to take something from that. I learn things and start to appreciate what I have. That might sound a bit cheesy, but that's just the way it is. Everybody has something they're addicted to, to put their souls at ease from time to time. It helps. Now, let's get on with it, shall we? I like the plot, though at first it did seem a bit preposterous and unoriginal. But I gave it a chance. I knew the actors, the trailer seemed alright and it was late at night and I had nothing to d...

How Girls Act Around Guys: Now And Then

So I just passed by these two pictures on Tumblr of three young women in the pose of like hitting on guys in two different eras. I find it really interesting since they were one after another and I kinda wanted to talk about that, discuss about how women are represented these days, what's the difference and/or is there any guilt in men, too. I mean, of course there is,but generations just change through time and there's nothing we can do about it. But do youngsters still have any common sense left and being classy, a gentleman? I hope some still exist. But it's not like doing it for old time's sake, it's more like for the dignity, honor, ethics, being moral and polite. When I'm polite some people misunderstand it for flirtation and it makes me really angry. Some teens find it odd holding doors for elder, buying flowers for your loved ones, dedicate some of your time just to hear about someone's feelings, you know the general stuff. I hate it how guys think ...
