Transience

Lots of people are afraid of that word. Why the hell would somebody be so scared of a simple word? It's the meaning behind it. People interpret this term each on their own specific way, though I'd like describe the most common ones. I'm not really sure in which one of them I belong in, I think maybe even all of them. The thing about it is that it's something we're not sure about, that's why we're so afraid of it. It is normal to fear the unknown, maybe to even reject the idea of accepting it in your life. We think that accepting something new in our life will cause a big change and we are afraid of changing our life routines. Because otherwise we are lost. We can't go with the flow. And I think that's the main problem here. Even old Shakespeare wrote about transience in his Halmet and that's the proof how this has been around for a long time. Yet, as we all know, dear Will wasn't a plain and ordinary man. He wrote about the problems of the ...

Birthdays And Aging Up

So. Guess what today is. My sixteenth birthday. Yay. Yeah, not really. I hate birthdays. Yes okay, it's all cool for the gifts and one day attention. But it's pathetic. It's literally just a number we made up. We made up time and clocks. And also the fear of getting old, getting lost in time. Fear of nostalgia and time itself. We fear oblivion, even though it is inevitable. We fear we'll end up all alone. But for kids it's all about birthdays. For little kids it's all about birthday parties and gifts and floating castles. But at the end, they all wanna grow up, be older, smarter, cooler. But the ugly truth is, that aging up is not at all that fancy and nice and kind. It's cruel. It's when you realize the monsters under your bed moved into your head. Though we, grumpy and moody teenagers shouldn't ruin the little ones' childhood. They still have a right to be children and we all know, especially in these days, how we miss being a carefree child...

H Is For The Holiday

It is truly one of my favorite movies and not only because there's Kate Winslet and Jude Law in it and because Cameron Diaz once for a change doesn't play a stupid blonde, but also because it shows a broader picture of what life's truly about. Sure, it consist of some great actors/actresses indeed, but what attracts me the most with this movie and what makes this whole story so gripping is that four strangers have come in each other's lives at such brilliant coincidence I might even start believing in them. I'm truly not the right address for cheesy American love-comedies because I've seen more than enough of it. But this really touched my heart in a way I didn't know it could be. I watched this movie probably like two or three times, yet, to be honest, I never get tired of it, and I've also watched it a long time ago and even then I've realized there's something special about it. It can still make me feel things about life I've never felt be...

Obsession Over Wrong People

And often not as much with the actors and Hollywood stars itself as we do with people that are famous because of a trite, banal reason. Or sometimes they are famous for a reason unknown to humanity and then we make even more fuss about it! Why not, right? Why not make stupid and untalented people famous just so they can enjoy their pathetic life in grand amounts of cash and jewels and yachts and I could go on forever. This is the pattern of humanity: following stupid people like sheep, not ever even wondering why we're doing it. So why, in fact, are we? You see, as dear Sherlock  once said about coincidences, the universe is rarely so lazy. So there must and is a reason to all this madness that's overcoming this poor Earth we live on, isn't it? Well, as you all well know (this applies to the people who actually read this blog from time to time - and I am forever grateful for that act of kindness - and know what my writing is usually about), this time as well I shall expose ...
