And often not as much with the actors and Hollywood stars itself as we do with people that are famous because of a trite, banal reason. Or sometimes they are famous for a reason unknown to humanity and then we make even more fuss about it! Why not, right? Why not make stupid and untalented people famous just so they can enjoy their pathetic life in grand amounts of cash and jewels and yachts and I could go on forever. This is the pattern of humanity: following stupid people like sheep, not ever even wondering why we're doing it. So why, in fact, are we? You see, as dear Sherlock once said about coincidences, the universe is rarely so lazy. So there must and is a reason to all this madness that's overcoming this poor Earth we live on, isn't it? Well, as you all well know (this applies to the people who actually read this blog from time to time - and I am forever grateful for that act of kindness - and know what my writing is usually about), this time as well I shall expose the juicy and detailed weaknesses of our world and its endlessly and beautifully dumb people. As Albert Einsten said: "Human stupidity has no limits".
So to sort-of-but-not-quite-yet cut to the chase, what is so appealing on these so-called celebrities that everybody from teens and young adults to high fashion magazines seem to adore? What is that magic something that keeps attracting that big amount of people? Well, for starters they have become rich for either some idiotic and ridiculous reason or something nobody knows what they've done in their life. It's not hard to love stupid rich people. They're beautiful and they've got everything they want/need and that is what people mostly want in their life - money and fame. But of course if you own a little bit of common sense you'd know this is not the only thing to life, especially not 'it'. People who live their life based upon their favorite celebrities don't have a life at all. And I don't mean that in some kind of hater way; I mean this in they-won't-get-anything-out-of-their-life. Because if you only life for other people, what is there left for you? If you don't know your own desires, do you expect someone else will? That is something people sick like that imagine and they kind of expect a magical solution to their problems, probably like winning a lottery or something. They've got just as much chances as that. Thought I'll tell you a secret: those people end up the happiest. Know why? Because they're very very stupid, just like their 'idols', if they're even worthy to be called that. Stupid people tend to live longer because of three things A. they don't stress over insignificant matters in their life, B. they don't realize how much influence they have in the world yet enjoy the consequences and C. they always end up lucky because of the two things I've already listed. Because they don't stress and because they don't realize their "power", they end up being more lucky than any of us here. Life seems even more unfair now, doesn't it?
But what's important is that we don't trouble our heads with this kind of things, because we're way above this. And again, not in some kind of snobby way, but because we simply are. We are ruled and outnumbered by stupid people and if we at least don't get to stand up for ourselves at least leave us with some dignity. I know this is a very hard word for some people to understand. Go get a dictionary.
Anyway, I do realize I'm being really sharp here, but hey - this is the real world. I'm not being pessimistic or if at least I am being pessimistic I love being that. Because you're either right or pleasantly surprised. Sometimes it's the only choice you have to survive in this world.
Now, to explain the picture above: it's the Kardashians! A person who doesn't know this name that is filling up the papers nowadays must live under a rock or something. And if you wondered - yes, they do have something to do with my post here why else would I post a picture of them here anyway? The title itself probably sums up their "fans" the most. Anyway what I wanted to say was they are the most perfect example of how you can become famous over nothing. Sure, they can own chains of stores and say that they have difficult jobs (such as fashion designers and participating in social events). But that is now. And their name is only growing bigger and bigger. But does anybody remember them like say five, six years ago? Who were they? I think the only justifiable thing to say about these is that they sort of became famous over a sex tape. And it's true. But then again, who am I to judge, right? They basically hold the power over the world and I'm just a "miserable and envious" teenage girl who is probably 5'11 tall and doesn't have a life. Well it's both kinda true and false at the same time, but still - they are famous and they can be talked about. They are public figures and I own the right to criticize them all I want. And it is my right as a person who sees the world from the other side.
Because what are we if not the secret observers in the world where stupid people own it? Being quiet and having occasional outbursts is the only thing we still own and I know this might sound very pessimistic, but it might take a while until the world regains its former common sense the Ancient Greek possessed. In my opinion, those were the cultures that were really smart, innovative and self-aware. They brought all the basic science, knowledge and after all the history to us and we don't even appreciate it. What I meant to say is how all through the years of the life of a human things have changed drastically. And yes, to worse. The great Charles Bukowski once said: "The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence." Because we'd rather stay quiet about the things that truly matter rather than taking a chance. Rather than standing up for what we believe. But yet, people will still fall for the sparkly rich people with shiny cars and jewelry. That's where the problem lies. We can't form our own mind when we are distracted by the stupid one.
Some things take time to develop from something small to something that will outcome itself. And somehow I think that can happen, but it can take a while. I don't know what the world shall become or rather what will people make out of it, because I don't trust dumb, unpredictable people (in a bad way). They can mess it all up in a matter of seconds because there are so many people out there with IQ of the size of their shoes. They still yet don't understand their power, but progress each day. Take politics for example: there are evil and yet smart men ruling our world at the moment. Especially where I live. Our nation divides on two groups - the people who are intelligent and realize what government is trying to do and the ones dumb enough to fall for their sweet words and keep voting those people that will only make this place a shittier hole to live in while they swim in cash (yep, that's how screwed we are). You see, they count on this. They count on us giving up so we won't go voting and so there are only stupid people left who will vote for them and so that's how they win. Yet people still can't figure this out. That was an example how much power the dumb people hold in our community as in the entire world actually. And we cannot ever escape it. Why? Because there will only be more.
The sad truth is that, in fact, the smart people now their place and know how the world is progressing in a bad, bad way, yet they don't do anything. I'm sixteen and now how things are going because thank god I've been raised in an environment where important things were not left unspoken. And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with how people these days are raising their children - although that's exactly what I'm trying to say and that's exactly what's wrong with it and why the world's so fucked up as it is - it's just the way we teach them what to think not how to think. How will we ever make a change in this world if we continue to act this foolish like we're blind led by the blind?
I'm really not trying to sound as pessimistic as this whole thing has turned out, but I'm trying to see the world as I am and I'm not ashamed nor afraid to say that. Anais Nin said: "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." which is followed by one of my favorite lines from Hamlet by Hamlet himself: " ... for there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." I just read it for my school assignment we have due Tuesday and although it is very complicated reading, I was most fascinated and overwhelmed by it. I've also seen the play and it was, of course, outstanding. Anyway, my point is that I am ready to face the world as I think it is and I am willing to accept it. I know I won't change other people, but I can change myself. You can't control the number that's gonna show on the dice. But you can choose the direction you go from there.
