Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I don't even know where to begin. Oh wait, I do. IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME. I'm not really the type for the sci-fi movies or maybe Marvel is the only exception, but this one... This one simply blew my mind away. I never even expected to experience such thing as this movie was. First, I think I need to start off by saying how witty and clever Marvel was once again. I love Thor movies and also the Spiderman, but Captain America sequel simply outdid them all. It has officially become my favorite movie of them all. I never thought I'd say that about an fictional action movie, but here we go. Second of, I truly think there's a lot more to be discovered about this movie as well. It hides so much potential and it was so strained and exciting the whole time. I just want to see it over and over again. I don't regret anything.

The first movie didn't impress me that much, to be honest. I did watch it two or three times (which is my thing with movies and TV shows), but nothing seemed attracting enough to obsess me like the second movie did. I liked the whole 50's thing and Peggy Carter as well (my favorite female character) and their relationship that, unfortunately, didn't last that long. But the whole thing with that red-skinned monster felt a little bit over the edge to me. A bit too sci-fi for me, but they still pulled it of great. What I'm trying to say is that that was year 2011 so I kind of understand how it wasn't as great as it could have been (although in my opinion and visual representation over the years and the movies in them, that seems like a pretty much modern era to me). Marvel seems to surprise me with each new movie and I can't wait for more. I still have two others on my list: X-Men and The Amazing Spiderman 2, but I simply couldn't make time for them because of the finals and all. I think Marvel still has a lot in store for us [viewers + fans] and that they know exactly how they are going to please us in just the right amount.
What I especially love with Marvel how masterfully they combine all the comic characters such as Black Widow and Agents of SHIELD and lots more. I loved The Avengers as well, I mean who doesn't, right? Anyway, in separate movies like this one (or Thor in that matter), they tend to combine universes and it always turns out fantastically.

Let's return to Cap, shall we? Or not actually Cap himself, let's focus more on the villain in this movies (villain's are always more fun). I like this quote by Tom Hiddleston: "What Marvel is so clever at is that they make their heroes flawed and their villains heroic." And I couldn't say it better myself, thank you for your contribution, Tom Hiddleston. It is true, however, how The Winter Soldier (let's just call him Soldier, shall we?) is somebody who can be a mass of destruction and a total killer machine, but at the same time has feelings and is still not "frozen" enough to keep him from "melting" (see the metaphor, do you?) and remembering "that man on the bridge" as the Soldier expresses himself. There are certain things that you just cannot kill, and the Soldier was a perfect example of it. Although the whole partly-amnesia thing was a bit predictable and cliche, the movie was really fantastic and Marvel at its best. I felt all sorts of feelings throughout the movie: from horror and fear to love and those fangirl feelings. I just couldn't resist from feeling it all. It makes you feel all these things and you can't deny yourself from feeling it. Maybe these action movies don't make you feel same things as those cheesy romantic comedies do, but they are just as much real and important. If I weren't in a cinema when I watched this, I would cry my freaking heart out at that scene where they wipe Soldier's memory once again and because he was shirtless as well. Kind of mixed emotions here.

Apart from feeling all those things, the story itself was really gripping, too. Another pleasantly unexpected thing I've discovered while watching the movie, but I must say I was expecting quite a lot from Marvel. I mean, it is Marvel. Though when it comes to it, it's more wise if you don't have any kind of expectations at all, especially not those 'canon' things. You're seriously doomed at that point. But anyway, they combined the story and the action together in the perfect ratio in just the right way and I loved it and so far, everyone seems to. Marvel keeps getting better and I think the world should pay more attention to movies like that because they are true masterpieces. But people are different and so are tastes and there's nothing we can do about it. It's their loss, that means more for us, if I may be a bit evil.
I also loved the cast; like always, Marvel overcomes it all when it comes to casting. My favorites were Robert Redford, Samuel L. Jackson and of course then all the mighty heroes of the Marvel universe. I think they put just enough action into the movie, with enough thrill and excitement filling the atmosphere. I watched it two times (I wish I could see it a few more times, but I was a bit tight with time) and my heart was beating in subnormal heartbeats the entire time! I realize I've said it like a thousand times, but it was just magnificent.

Then I think we need to come across another very important subject in this movie - the feels. The Stucky feels. I know not all of you probably hang out on Tumblr (though it's been quite popular in the last couple of years), but I am sure you're aware of certain "shippings" and "OTPs" and stuff like that. Well yeah, Stucky is sort of a shipping (shipping (v.): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shipping_(fandom) ), and a gay one as you probably noticed, between Steve Rogers and James Buchanan Barnes a.k.a. Bucky. Some fangirls just sort of "need" them to be together and these canon things like that are really dangerous for a mind of a fangirl. Not only it makes you wish for the impossible, but it's also very unhealthy and might cause sleep depriving, obsessional behavior, aggression towards other human beings because of the feels, ... There are many factors why teenage girls behave like they do, and fandoms are certainly one of them.
To cut to the chase, let me just say it was quite intense between Steve and Bucky/the Solider throughout the movie, especially when they had to fight each other or maybe it's more appropriate to say (and a bit harsh as well) - when Steve had to fight the Soldier (I'm sorry). But just like the Soldier himself then said in that cellar where he was kept between his missions to regenerate, he did knew him and you cannot deny the pressure of the feels. You have to sense it or else I don't know what you're doing in a cinema watching a freaking Marvel movie a.k.a. the feels movie.

Anyway, I know these canon things and the fangirl "ships" can be a bit hardcore, I'd just like to say that I can't wait to see the sequel in 2016 and I am even more so excited for the Avengers which is coming in May 2015 already (which means less than a year!) because could both [Cap and Bucky/the Soldier] appear there and I really hope they do, because Bucky in AU would be awesome and thrilling! I literally can't wait to see what happens next because the entire time in the movie, and especially in the ending, I was like: "Come on, Bucky, you used to be best buds!" and I sorta suspect he will remember Steve and everything and they will take down HYDRA together like they always did and will and that would sort of be the end, that's why it's actually even more stressful for the Russo brothers (who are the directors of the franchise Captain America) to make it a huge hit. Everyone sort of expect this kind of ending and they need to surprise us, which they gracefully succeeded in the second movie so I have no doubts the third one will be a double masterpiece. Although I have read certain critiques (positive and negative ones) and the negative ones mostly say that the ending and also the whole movie and the story was painfully predictive and that the ending was totally cliche, but let me tell you something: to create a two hour and a half long movie with you breathing heavily the whole time is a work of art and made AND performed by some seriously scary talented dudes (and chicks for that matter) and you do not have my approval to go around and say mean things so yeah that's it. So if you haven't seen it already (I mean come on, do you live under a rock or something?), I really recommend you do for the time is really running out! Just for the record, the HD digital DVD version of CATWS is coming out in August and the Blu-Ray one in September, so good, good news guys!

The Best Things In Life Are Free: True Or False?

We are constantly surrounded by statements like: "The best things come free." and all that positive thinking along. But is it really true? I mean, I get it that when people say that they mostly mean things like love, joy and friends. These things do, however, come free, but by free it's mostly considered as not including money. For all these things that I counted, true dedication and believing yourself are present and these kind of things are what truly makes a person rich. Not money, not some kick-ass career (that may have influenced on your inner self, though) or super yachts. It's something that comes from within and that really takes effort and time to possess. And to get there, it actually takes a whole different kind of price for what you really want. It demands hard work that is often not quite what rich people own. There is a beautiful quote by Patrick Meagher: "Some people are so poor all they have is money." And that is, sadly, often correct. Peopl...

American Beauty

There are only few things in this world that are able to truly leave me speechless, astounded, and numb. I tend to believe I have seen a lot of things that have touched me right to the depths of my soul, making me feel like there is so much more life behind ordinary things. And those occassions are the reason we stay alive. May it be a soft breeze caressing your skin on a surprisingly warm March day that reminds you of the hidden wonders of nature, a sentimental gesture shared between a mother and a child that demonstrates the meaning of humanity and unconditional love or simply a flash of a moment in an ordinary day that keeps you sane and secured, knowing there is some magic hidden in these ordinary, seemingly unnoteworthy moments that we need to treasure and remember forever, and that even though we are aware of this magic, we could never reach it. And that is the beauty of it. However, when I saw this movie it truly shook me, in a good way. I also recently watched Good Will Hunti...

I heard an airplane passing overhead. I wished I was on it

More and more I feel like I don't belong here, in this hell called school. It's not like I'm unwanted in society, it's more like how I'm being somehow ignored, but not directly. I can still laugh with my girl friends and have a good time at school breakes, but when we like have a free hour or we just don't do anything in class, I can feel how I don't fit in. I then realise how different I am, or how every individual is different. But some girls, most of them actually, can still find something in common, something that makes them more wanted, that makes them popular and attractive. They're all the same, although I still believe everyone's special in some way. But it's like they all feel the same about that "love" they think they know what it is, they have opinions on things, same taste in music, same behaviour. And I'm so sick of it. So sick of everybody pretending, not showing their real feelings then pitying themselves later. And ...
