First of all; I've been addicted to The CD since I first watched the show. I know now follows some kind of introduction of why and how I've chosen this perfect little show to present it in my blog. It kinda goes like this: at first I thought it's another cheesy, overrated teenage show that talks about love triangles, being-in-love kind of issues and a girl finding herself after a long time. Well, I wasn't that wrong but Carrie or should I say AnnaSophia Robb and a job well done on the casting (that was meant for Austin Butler). They impressed me immediately and I fell in love instantly. And it's really not all about the cheesy love stuff and being unable to choose between this and that. It is full of situations life gives you and it shows how Carrie is facing them all and I can only say she can be a role-model for all the girls out there - full of good vibes, faces troubles like a real woman and knows what she deserves. And she won't give it away.
Carrie Bradshaw:

I think she is very courageous and fearless. She takes every opportunity that comes by her and is not afraid to show the world her real self. Like I said, I think she or at least her character should be the role-model for many girls out there since she has so many good features many of us can look up to. Although there are many things I disagree with her, I think that is the charm of the show and still being able to think she is amazing and a strong, realistic woman. I think she shows her extreme independence by combining school with jobs and everything. That really shows off her true character and the meaning of the show.
He is the most sweetest human being on Earth! And not only because of his charming and elegant looks but because of his mind, too. He realizes his mistakes with Carrie but still loves her unconditionally. He still thinks she is amazing and is willing to fight for her (even though they kinda died down in the second season). He knows what she deserves and he wants to be that for her, but in the same time he gives her freedom she wants and lets her go. His character is very strong and I can't wait to see what happens next between him and Carrie, they're just meant to be!
Maggie Landers:
Her perspectives change through the day and she is very indecisive, but let's see what her good qualities are. I think she was very patient with Carrie when they were still good friends and she really accepted her. But she made some mistakes as everyone does sometimes. It really was rude of her to go to Sebastian for the kiss, but I think when one is in distress he does such foolish things and Sebastian was at that time the only person worth trusting. And I can see Maggie wanting to change but somehow it is not working and she only wades deeper and deeper into the chasm of despair.
Walt is definitely one of my favorite characters. Not only because he is as cute as a button but he is charming, smart and actually pushes Carrie into the real world when she no longer knows which way to turn. He really helped her out a lot during their stay in New York through the summer in Larissa's apartment. Like every teenage show this one too contains a super-duper cute gay character and I think Walt is just the most perfect character ever. I love it how brave he was when he stepped out and confessed his sexuality just as much to the world as he did to himself. It is, again, another well-played character to look up to.
She is super smart, funny and stronger than she thinks and that is one of many features I love about Mouse. She knows her strong points and week ones but when it comes to important decisions she can totally black out and don't know which way to turn and is totally lost. That's why I also love her relationship with West. They're like this nerdy high-school sweethearts and simply can't let go of each other even if they tried. They got similar interests and are very good in school, West is also a very successful basketball player and they organize things very well, and I think the way they sort their problems out is a way couples should look up to. I mean, I totally support any kinds of relationships and their way of working things out I just think Mouse and West, despite some of their obvious differences, are pretty much the best couple there could ever be. They fight but then they see what are the chances of them not being together and they just patch up. That is totally subjective and I know it, but that's my opinion.
Larissa Loughlin:
I think she pretty much sums up to the definition of perfect style, class and attitude of a lady. She is confident, open-minded and is willing to fight for what she wants. I love her energetic and strong character and the way she handles things. No one compares to her and I think Carrie learned a lot from her confidence and sometimes being harsh to her. She lets her know every time that life is unpredictable and that she doesn't (yet) own New York. But that only leaves Carrie with bigger dreams and more will to work harder for what she deserves. I think Larissa has also thought Carrie how to be opened up about her sexual life because Larissa totally is and that is another thing I absolutely adore about the CD characters. She is known for her exciting sex life and isn't ashamed of sharing it. That was very untypical of women these days and many from nowadays and I think that was a brave step of adding that feature to Larissa. I love how strong every woman character is in this show. It also represents feminism to younger society.
I think those are the most crucial characters in the show in my opinion, but we mustn't forget all the other participators: the rebellious Dorrit, daddy Tom, the smoking hot stuff Samantha, the queen of the night Donna LaDonna and Walt's sexy boyfriend Bennet Wilcox. All combined, they create such great show that you just can't ignore. It's full of teenage love, energy and beautiful fuss.
It's about the decisions that you face in your adolescence that everyone goes through. And Carrie basically teaches you have to face them courageously and without any fear. I think the show is an inspiration to any kind of teenager, because we can all relate to what's happening in the show - Walt finding himself because of his sexuality, Mouse being unable to decide about school, Maggie thinking about family, Sebastian getting over his feelings and moving on and finally, Carrie, for who I can say she looks down-to-earth but in fact she is always in search of her feelings. They all kinda represent a teenager's mind when growing up and developing except they're separated in different characters.
And so far I've learned a lot, not only being a strong girl in this messy world but also how to make a stand for myself while I was very quiet in my past. I never stood up for something I thought it was right and maybe I still don't often enough, but I'm changing. And I'll never stop changing. Because throughout your life you come across so many things you see and want to change about yourself that you never stop developing.
